Secondary School Staff

Dr Nicol – (Deputy Headteacher)
Dr Nicol is a PhD chemistry graduate with experience within the semiconductor industry. During a career break for family Irene started her own business as a personal tutor in the sciences. After 7 years of private tuition, a PGDE and the education sector beckoned. After qualifying as a secondary teacher she undertook probation, supply and permanent teaching posts in West Lothian, East Ayrshire and South Lanarkshire. Dr Nicol has 11 years experience as a faculty head of science in a modern comprehensive school. She and her husband are members at Crow Road Free Church in Glasgow and have two grown up children.
Mrs Murray (English and Humanities Teacher)
Mrs Murray is a GTCS registered Secondary teacher, and teaches English and Humanities at the Melville-Knox Secondary School at the Kelvingrove Campus. She is married with three children, and a member of Glasgow Reformed Presbyterian Church.


Miss Markoff (Music Teacher)
Miss Markoff is a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she completed her Bachelor’s of Education, specialising in music. This training has equipped her with a strong foundation in teaching within creative disciplines. Miss Markoff is a member of St Silas Church in Glasgow.
Mrs Hinshelwood (History, Literacy and Physical Education teacher)
Mrs Hinshelwood graduated from Queen Mary University in London with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in History and German in 2018, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from University College London in 2020. She has taught as a History teacher at a state school in London for the past six years, where she was a member of the Metropolitan Tabernacle London since 2019, serving in the large Sunday School there. After marrying in October 2024, she relocated to Scotland and is in fellowship at Wishaw Ebenezer Gospel Hall with her husband.


Mrs Miscampbell (Social subjects teacher)
Mrs Miscampbell is a GTCS registered secondary teacher, and teaches social subjects at Melville-Knox. She studied history, followed by a PGDE, both at the University of Glasgow. She is married, with two daughters, and is a member at the Tron Church, Glasgow.
