Playground Improvements

As part of our Science topic on plants and thanks to Homebase for giving us a donation of plants (see our previous blog post here), we used a surprise bit of good weather to improve our playground with some potted flowers.
The pupils loved learning how to pot plants and care for them. They even enjoyed naming their plants! Our playground looks much more colourful now!

We had a lovely selection of flowers.

Mrs Finlay taught us what all the plants were called and what sort of conditions they liked.
 
We half-filled our pots with compost and potted several plants each.
