P1's Induction Morning

On Tuesday 14th May, we were delighted to welcome eight new children to our Induction morning. They all settled in very quickly and took part in our morning assembly where Mr Markoff, our Headteacher, shared a lesson from the lives of King Saul and the prophet Samuel. After a short break outside in the beautiful sunshine exploring the playground and getting to know their new friends, they enjoyed a time of talking and listening, taking turns telling us what kind of things they enjoyed doing. This was followed by art, number and ‘choosing’ activities and the morning ended with some of them deeply engrossed in threading cards and colouring their number sheets. Our classroom assistant Mrs Christine Gillies and Tabitha, our Dutch intern, helped the teachers to make the morning a very successful and hugely enjoyable Induction day!
