Rev. David S. Fraser

Melville-Knox Christian School Glasgow is saddened to hear of the passing of Rev. David S. Fraser, one of the founding directors and a former chairman of our Board.
Mr Fraser gave his heart and soul to the Lord’s work and his zealous efforts contributed greatly to the founding of our school. He was an avid supporter of Christian education, seeing the need for it in our increasingly secular society. A man of principle, Mr Fraser promoted our school even when many Christians were skeptical. He always had an encouraging and gracious word to say to our staff, and set a remarkable example to the whole school community. His daughter, Daisy Joan, was one of the three mothers that met for prayer, to whom we are indebted for the original vision of having a Christian school in Glasgow. Some of his grandchildren are current pupils of our school.
We uphold in prayer his wife, Marion, his children, and the whole family. We pray that “the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort” would be with them at this difficult time.
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:21)
