Melville-Knox Christian School Sponsored Walk Raises Over £2,000 for Bethesda Academy

Pupils from both campuses took part in a sponsored walk at Kelvingrove Park, successfully raising more than £2,000 in support of Bethesda Academy in Manipur State, North India.  Christians are a persecuted minority there and have borne the brunt of recent violence.  Bethesda Academy, which is a Christian school, has expanded rapidly to accommodate children from Christian families whose homes and churches have been destroyed or threatened.  A little money from us can go a long way and be really. helpful to our brothers and sisters in India.  

The event brought together pupils of the school community for a day of exercise and fundraising. Participants completed the walk through the scenic surroundings of Kelvingrove while collecting sponsorship from family, friends, and supporters.

The sponsored walk was a good opportunity to serve others and encourage pupils to engage in helping others in need. The school wants to thank all those whose contributions made the donation possible.
